Stainless Steel Pickling Gel – Removes Welding Oxidation and Surface Contamination

Stainless Steel Pickling Gel is a specific product for post-welding cleaning of stainless steel surfaces. It effectively removes tempering colorations, oxidations and welding residues , restoring the original appearance of the metal. The gel formulation makes it easy to apply even on vertical surfaces, avoiding dripping and ensuring uniform pickling. It does not contain hydrochloric acid and is suitable for use in industrial, plant engineering and carpentry fields, always respecting the correct precautions.

Technical Information

• Directions for use: Shake the product well before use. Apply an even layer with a brush on clean and dry surfaces.

• Recommended reaction time:

  • AISI 304 steel (1.4301): 20–60 minutes

  • For stubborn oxidation: even several hours
    After the indicated time, rinse thoroughly with water .

• Approximate yield: approx. 80–120 ml/kg
  

• Temperature of use: avoid direct exposure to sunlight or high temperatures during application.

• Contains:

  • Nitric acid (≤ 70%)

  • Hydrofluoric acid (≤ 5%)

• Hazard Statements:

  • H290: May be corrosive to metals

  • H301+H331: Toxic if swallowed or if inhaled

  • H310: Danger to life in contact with skin

  • H314: Causes severe skin burns and eye damage

  • EUH071: Corrosive to the respiratory tract

• Precautionary advice:

  • P280: Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and eye/face protection.

  • P260: Do not breathe vapours or spray.

  • P303+P361+P353: IF ON SKIN: Take off contaminated clothing and wash immediately with water.

  • P305+P351+P338: In case of contact with eyes, rinse cautiously with water for several minutes

  • P310: Call a doctor immediately.

  • P403+P233: Store in a well-ventilated place and keep container closed.
